My favorite exercise at FGF is: I think my favorite FGF exercise is that I don’t have a favorite! And after 10 months at FGF I have yet to do the same Grind twice.
My least favorite exercise is: My least favorite exercise is pull-ups!!!
Tell us about your fitness journey.
I grew up in a very active home and have always been drawn to physical activity. As an adolescent and teenager, I ski raced, showed my horse and was on my school gymnastic team. After putting on the college “freshman 10,” I started “exercising.” My dad encouraged me to buy a pair of running shoes and start running because I could do it anywhere, anytime. Running also kept me fit for biking, hiking and skiing. However running led to chronic injuries, so I started swimming and practicing yoga at about age 40. Another exercise I’ve done a lot…starting about 1990…is “The Firm,” a step box video. The girls in the video had become my BFF’s!
If you could tell your Farmgirlfit story, how would it read?
I chose to join Farmgirlfit after meeting Jenni and Jaunessa and liked their story and workout philosophy. I was ready for a change, and needed a more aggressive weight program to offset the effects of decreased muscle mass.
What has been your greatest fitness (performance) accomplishment so far? Do you have a performance goal?
My greatest fitness performance was running Bloomsday in under 60 minutes at age 40. But since I try to live in the present, my most current performance achievements are being able to repetitively do the rope climb and drop back backbends in yoga!

How have you integrated the FGF mission outside of the gym?
I integrate the Farmgirlfit mission of healthy lifestyle into my life by my passion and commitment to cook healthy balanced meals for my family.
When you’re not at FGF, what does the rest of your life look like?
I manage our household and run a small design business.
Any advice for new members?
The advice I would give to new members is be consistent…. work out on a daily basis. Working out should be as much a part of your daily life as brushing your teeth. Cross train for long-term success. And keep Farmgirlfit as an essential element!
